About the Residency
Designed to be a sanctuary, calm and sophisticated. Casa Del Mar is close enough to Sitges to enjoy all the town has to offer but far enough to replenish and nourish your soul amongst the nature and tranquility of a private and secure exclusive location. With 24/7 security patrol and a private entrance barrier your safety is of upmost importance. We are a close community that are open to all diversity and ability and the holiday home is fully wheelchair accessible on the ground floor. The residency offers ramps to access the pool and all facilities, including a Childrens playground and some incredible vistas.
The architecture is clean, white Bauhaus influenced and the gardens and streets are maintained to the highest standards. Walking around the residency itself is a very pleasant stroll with a view point at one end and the pool at the other. Each with spectacular views of the sea. Furthermore, stepping outside of the residency directly into the nature park you can access local family beaches in Vilanova or some of the oldest most hidden secret gay beaches the area has to offer. It is all literally on your doorstep.
Parc de Garraf
This is one of the only nature reserves with ocean views and they are stunning. Not only can you enjoy the various wildlife, trees, plants and landscapes the reserve has to offer but you are close enough to Sitges and Vilanova to take advantage of a pit stop and refreshment. Hiking is one of the activities enjoyed all year long in the area and with the sun shining almost 360 days of the year its perfect to take advantage of the cooler months if you are a keen cyclist or enjoy a hike. The rugged terrain and incredible views will not disappoint even the most seasoned traveller.
Water sports & Beach life
Surrounded by the ocean this area has some of the cleanest waters in Spain. There are beaches on either side of the house and activities for all. Sailing, surfing, paddle boarding, jet ski, power boat you name it, its all here. There are clubs in both Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú for sailing as well as all other activities, boat hire etc. Details are on our Instagram page where you can search who we follow to find all sorts of local business - as well as those able to support people with disabilities.
Close to the house is the beach Del Faro of Vilanova beyond that you are in the marina and then a stretch of beach that lasts for miles. Roges Ribes is popular with Cheriguito beach bars and other actives like volley ball and racket sports.
In the direction of Sitges you have the secluded gay beaches off the beaten track and then all that the town has to offer. San Sebastian is a little more family orientated as well as the other end of the of the sea front close to the hotel Terramare.
Sitges - a town of romance, art & culture
Sitges is just 30 mins south of Barcelona airport has been described as the Saint-Tropez of Spain, due to is beach crown and lively nightlife. It is renowned for its LGBT-friendly atmosphere as well as its world famous festivals including the gay carnival, film and horror film festival and other events that span the year.
As a coastal town the seafood is highly recommended along with the traditional seafood rice dishes. Both the old town and beach front are lined with incredible restaurants that will cater to everyones taste.
For art lovers the architecture of the town itself is breathtaking yet there are galleries and the famous Museums including the Maricel and Can Ferrat - which was once the home of the Catalan artist Santiago Rusinol one of the leading figures of the Catalan Modernist movement.
Backed by the mountainous Parc Natural del Garraf. the seafront promenade lined with grand mansions as well as the old town and surrounding streets are are fantastic to explore along with the many gay bars and nightclubs.
